The Coffee Bunker collaborates with employers in their efforts to recruit, prepare, support, retain, and develop the potential and talent of both new veterans and veterans who are current employees. The collaboration includes spouses and employment age children of veterans. Employers Alliance for Veterans members work collaboratively to ensure timely and meaningful employment for veterans and their spouses.
RECRUITMENT
The Bunker collaborates with employers in the recruitment of three groups of veterans:
- active duty service members planning to transition out
- veterans now enrolled in area and state colleges or tech schools
- veterans in current job search mode
The recruitment collaboration extends to spouses of veterans as well as the employable children (high school, college, and tech school graduates) of veterans.
PREPARATION
Once enrolled at the Coffee Bunker, veterans work with a peer support specialist and appropriate other professionals to develop a career plan, determine skills training goals, and manage any issues or obstacles in the way of being successful.
Enrollment in the Transition Services Program includes being listed in our database which connects employment seekers with employers in our Alliance.
