If you are a veteran, the family member of a veteran, or have a heart for veterans, the Bunker is your “tribe”; your place to be engaged and involved. The Bunker seeks to ensure the successful transition of every veteran by being the best veteran service organization in America.
The work of the Bunker is a unique expression of care, concern, and commitment by the Tulsa community and Tulsa area communities to ensure that the transition back to civilian life is successful for every veteran. This commitment includes veterans and their families from active duty service, National Guard, and Reserves. For transitioning veterans, the Bunker is like your battle buddy or your wingman.
We achieve our mission by providing:
- A place for veterans to “hang out” or use as their transition headquarters.
- A community for camaraderie, connection (especially at the Table), and resources.
- A full range of transition services related to employment, education, and immediate needs.
- Advocacy for the wide diversity of veterans’ issues.
- Opportunities for service to fellow veterans and the community.
The Bunker opened its doors in September of 2010 and continues to grow as a 501(c)3 organization. The legal name of our organization is Honor Bunker dba Coffee Bunker. Our work is made possible by the financial good will of individuals, foundations, corporations, faith and civic organizations, and the “labor” good will of a wonderful team of volunteers.
